Hello, I´m Nathalia
Peluso, script writter and director of CAMINOS a TV miniserie that I wrote four
years ago to show our culture, our people, our community. I wrote it trying to show
the manners and lifestyle of young people who live in the suburbs, far from the
city, in some universal way, with different timing, rythmes, other realities
and also trying to show what happens around us with young latin American that
can´t achive their dreams, even when put such passion and effort on get them
done. It also shows that even when they have more obstacles than in some other
places of the world, with tenacity and perseverance dreams can become true, as
happens with the characters of this miniserie.
Cinema and audiovisual art had been always
underestimated, and had been catalogued as shallow and snobbish, to describe
that there´s the typical line “that only happens in movies” so I asked myself
about it and I thought that there´s a reason of why only happens in movies,
because audiovisual is, first of all, a communication media and because of its
essence, must be related to the message that you want to send to as many people
as possible, because it communicates, says something to the world, something we
see, something that might be standing just next to us or something that maybe
doesn´t want to be seen and the filmmaker that sees it has the commitment to
show it. For that reason I believe is necessary that he or she will do more
than just show it, between the interaction of communication and dramatic action
there´s always room for something else, space for what that it´s been anly said
could also start been DONE
That’s why CAMINOS, is a miniserie with a real interaction, it will show
a communal dinner where the people are actually the real people that attend to
it and the place is also the real place. The Sponsors the miniserie could find
will be also helping this communal dinner and other places that are shown along
the story. We try to make that typical line will not longer be an illusion line
but a reality.
For the first time fiction will
be having a social function, fiction will help in a very real way.
